This article is an introduction to release code circuit wizard. For over two decades, the ASM-1 Release Code Circuit Wizard has enabled clients with no knowledge of electrical engineering to design complex circuits. These circuits have included sophisticated electronics for applications as diverse as controlling the TV power supply, upgrading car radios to CD players, or adding alarms to household appliances. The ASM-1 Release Code Circuit Wizard now offers what is arguably the biggest advance in circuit design in decades - Design & Draw Mode! The new interface enables you to graphically draw your circuit designs on screen instead of having to enter thousands of lines of text. It also greatly simplifies editing existing circuits as you can now edit the circuit by selecting items on the screen. The wizard still supports creating new designs from scratch or modifying an existing design. Unlike other interactive online circuit design tools, the Circuit Wizard is not a simulation tool; it generates real world, working and tested circuits and sends them to you as a printed circuit board (PCB) layout and schematic diagram. The first step is to determine what components or circuits you want in your project and how they must be wired together. You will need to create a list of components and how they should be connected. The next step is to determine where you want your components to be installed in your project. You will need to create a list of components, their location, and how they are connected. Once you have defined your components, you can design the circuit's layout - either for an existing component or a new component that will be added later in the design process. After completing the layout, it is time to draw the circuit diagram or PCB. It is important that when designing this diagram, you keep in mind the PCB size and layout restrictions in order to avoid potential issues with component placement. The PCB size refers to how many components can fit on one sheet of standard paper (8 1/2 by 11" or 11 by 17"). This is one of the most important factors in electrical design. One of the advantages of the ASM-1 Release Code Circuit Wizard over other circuit design tools is that you create the circuit layout on screen. This means that you can easily change your layout by dragging components to new positions, changing component sizes, modifying component functions, etc. not just saving it to a file for later editing. The newly introduced Design & Draw Mode provides an easier way to draw circuits on screen by using a graphical user interface. The design can be made up of multiple components or sub-circuits which are organized within a single drawing area. The board can be drawn accurately as if it is etched into the PCB as an etched circuit board (ECB) layout. The design can be saved as a PCB layout for later editing, printing and/or sending to a PCB manufacturer. The release code circuit wizard allows you to create circuits from scratch, modify existing designs and even send your designs to a PCB manufacturer for production. To date, the ASM-1 Release Code Circuit Wizard has been used in over 250 projects and has been used by thousands of engineers during their design phase. eccc085e13
